Project Mentor Director

Melissa Teal
My name is Melissa Teal, and I am so honored to be the Project Mentor Director for the Lago Independent School District! Project Mentor is a school based mentoring program that matches men and women in the community with youth in the LVISD schools. Once matched these mentors and students meet and have lunch together for 30 minutes once a week. At its most basic level mentoring helps because it guarantees a young person that there is someone who cares about them. A child is not alone in dealing with day-to-day challenges.
